The Perfect Piece: Allude at Der Berliner Mode Salon S/S 2017
This year’s presentation by Allude at the now established showroom event Der Berliner Mode Salon Berlin was all about the no. 11100. This figure represents not some mysterious computer code – a programming command of zeros and ones – but the core piece of our brand’s success story.
For it is with a classic V-neck sweater, the legendary model no. 11100, that Andrea Karg’s creative and entrepreneurial journey began more than 20 years ago. A creation without superfluous design frills but available in 100 colours and with a unique tactile feel, which has become a symbol of Allude. For that rare successful blend of passion, patience and experience.
Displayed on rotating platforms and in timeless black – after all, black is the new black – it captured the attention of the numerous visitors to the show. And rightly so, we believe. Here are some impressions from our room at the Kronprinzenpalais.
The installation’s theme, “Perfect Piece”, which focused the spotlight on no. 11100, inspired Andrea Karg and her team not only with regard to fashion, however; they also ruminated about the sense and nonsense of perfection, as could be read on a panel at the Berlin fashion salon — and now in our online magazine, for all those who missed the show in Berlin. Enjoy!
