Summer is coming: The Allude Spring Summer Collection 2018
Winter is coming (back)? Oh no, the new motto is summer is coming! The designs of the Allude Spring Summer Collection 2018 by Andrea Karg are the ideal companions for the coming season of sun – no matter whether for a cool evening or the glaring midday heat, for purists or those who love to mix patterns.
For the days when a cloudless sky almost melts the asphalt, on the other hand, there are striped knit shorts and light summer dresses for an airy casual-chic style. Those of us who don’t want to fret about what to combine with what, there are flowing jumpsuits with low cuffs, available in long or short versions, patterned or plain. Simply slip it on, tie the bow, and you’re done! Calf-length, slit pencil skirts made of pure cashmere have an air of reduced elegance: In combination with shimmering silk tops, they are an all-rounder for the office, parties or after-work drinks.
When you are surprised by the chill of the night air after the first sundowner, there’s nothing better to keep you warm than a cashmere sweater: the designs with jacquard patterns or oversized floral prints in bright pink-red tones are real eye-catchers. More subtle, in contrast, are the uni-coloured, flowing creations in taupe, navy and pure white – here it is the little things that turn basics into highlights, such as overlong trumpet sleeves or small peplums.
For men too, the collection ranges from extravagant to minimalist: the sweater with a fire-breathing dragon motif will make you feel like a knight – or perhaps like Jon Snow, depending on your mood. Jurassic Park fans will love the dino motif on the grey crew neck sweater. Otherwise, the men’s collection is mostly dominated by uni-coloured designs: from casual cardigans with zipper and stand-up collar to polo sweaters in various shades to athleisure trousers made of cashmere. Details such as longer fits and cuffs in the destroyed look bring new life to these basics – not to forget the new knit Bermuda shorts, which are perfect for Sunday breakfast in bed or an evening stroll on the promenade in Saint-Tropez.
