In the world of fashion it has been hard to imagine life without the delicate colour of candy for quite a while now. But from now on, coffee-holics can also enjoy a little pink in their otherwise black (coffee) life. Following the healthy trend drinks Matcha Latte and Golden Milk, the Pink Latte now takes over the power. Originally from Australia, it is currently conquering Instagram, Pinterest and our coffee shops in popular Millennial Pink. Our local superfood, the good old beetroot, gives the drink its name-giving colour and is responsible for the positive health effect. The red root is full of vitamins, antioxidants and iron, which strengthen the immune system – just the right thing against mucky weather and flu epidemics. But let’s be honest…beetroot latte instead of coffee? For real coffee lovers, the Pink Latte will certainly not be a substitute. But as a caffeine-free power kick and colour splash in between, why not? For the preparation you only need a juiced beetroot or powder, a bit of grated ginger, optionally a pinch of cinnamon, agave syrup and warm foamed plant milk. It is good, tastes good and is guaranteed to cheer you up in the morning.
