In good company: Allude on world tour with the Meisterkreis

Not at all elitist yet a truly exquisite circle – that’s how the Meisterkreis, founded in 2011, could be described. The members of the Berlin organisation are from the crème de la crème of German business and culture, all united by timeless values. The latter include a high level of creativity, professional perfection, great passion and innovative power, excellent customer service and an uncompromising, high level of quality.

A glance into the comprehensive “Meisterkreis” register shows that “Made in Germany” goes far beyond powerful engines and ingenious machines. For example, you’ll find the legendary camera manufacturer Leica, the celebrated porcelain manufacturer Meissen and the long-established stationery company Faber-Castell among those listed. As well as the internationally acclaimed Munich-based cashmere label Allude, which Andrea Karg founded in 1993 and led to success – one of only a few fashion brands in the Meisterkreis, which sees itself as a lobby for the best of each field, as a forum for discussions and as a facilitator and organiser of interdisciplinary events with the goal to promote a worldwide exchange of experience and knowledge.

One of the organisation’s most spectacular projects currently underway was developed in cooperation with Germany’s Federal Foreign Office. With the mission name “German Contemporary Excellence”, the project’s goal is to promote and to attract attention to the unique diversity and creative power of the German economy. Star photographer Jim Rakete captured expressive portraits of founding personalities, including Andrea Karg from Allude, among others, for an exclusive coffee table book created for the project. Rakete himself is more than qualified for the Meisterkreis, having photographed countless stars, such as David Bowie and Linda Evangelista, during the course of his exemplary career.

In the next two years, the atmospheric and striking pictures as well as the book (which is not commercially available!) will go on tour and be exhibited at German embassies and consulates around the world. The tour started at the beginning of March with an exhibition at the Berlin Martin Gropius Bau. Next stops include Paris, Seoul and Qatar. And we are proud to be part of this valuable (in the truest sense of the word) journey. Allude around the world!
