Artfully: Allude at the Munich Press Days Spring/Summer 2018

Typically the Haus der Kunst attracts visitors with exciting exhibitions, such as the current show by American sculptor and installation artist Sarah Sze. Recently, lots more was going on behind the scenes of the museum, however.

As part of the Munich Press Days, Allude and other international luxury brands presented their creations for the upcoming spring/summer season 2018 and did so not in a sterile showroom but in the impressive halls of the Haus der Kunst. In the museum’s west wing, well hidden from the prying eyes of museum visitors, around 174 editors, freelancers and influencers marvelled at cosy soft cashmere sweaters, ponchos, trousers and selected pieces for the little ones. Just steps away from Sze’s stunning installation “Centrifuge”.

A self-playing grand piano “Spirio” by Steinway & Sons provided musical entertainment while champagne and canapés were served. A show that was rather magical in every way and turned the gray winter blues into a minor matter.
