Allude & Friends: Konstantin Spachis, Deputy Fashion Director of Madame
He is one of the most photographed male fashion editors in Germany – for a reason: Konstantin Spachis seamlessly mixes Old Hollywood glam and the casual spirit of Europe’s jet set circa 1960 with the style sensibilities of 2016. Spachis, now at “Madame” magazine, gladly answered our fashion questionnaire:
My first fashion memory:
Envying Alicia Silverstone’s closet from “Clueless”.
I would describe my style as:
My personal styling trick
A slim fit turtleneck – in a wool-silk mix for spring! – goes with everything. Sexy and sophisticated.
The most important rule in my own style guide:
It’s all about proportion, proportion, proportion.
My favourite trend for the summer:
Seventies Safari Chic, in the way Yves Saint Laurent himself perfected it!
This is how I would wear this trend:
When you are not yet ready to pull off a Veruschka vibe, try a belted safari jacket with a pair of ripped jeans first.
My favourite piece from the Allude Collection Spring/Summer 2016:
Look 13 is my favorite: the perfect summer look for today’s gentlewoman.
As a stylist/fashion editor I could not live without:
My style icon:
Stefano Pilati. No need for an explanation.
I am currently reading:
“The art of living a creative life” by Frank Berzbach.
The top sites in my browser bookmarks:
MrPorter.com, VogueRunway.com and my guilty pleasure – browsing the Facebook page of “Superficial”.
A song that always inspires me to dance:
Hex Hector’s Remix of JLo’s “Waiting for tonight”.
