Allude abroad: The Blue Box Café at Tiffany & Co.
There are certain film scenes that you would just love to experience for yourself. Like the one where Audrey Hepburn steps out of a yellow taxi cab early in the morning to gaze at the sparkling window displays of Tiffany’s.
Those who almost gave in to the temptation to imitate Mrs. Golightly, no longer have to linger in front of one of the boutiques dressed in an evening gown and equipped with take-away coffee and croissant. The famous jeweller has made a long-cherished dream come true for countless women and has opened the first Blue Box Café in the Tiffany & Co. flagship store on Fifth Avenue!
Everything, from walls and armchairs to plates and even salt and pepper shakers, features the famous Tiffany turquoise. But it is not only the ambience that leaves nothing to be desired for true Tiffany fans, the menu, too, is – in the truest sense of the word – a real gem. From the classic croissant à la Audrey Hepburn to refined delicacies such as the salmon bagel or the Charles Lewis Tiffany Club Sandwich – a tribute to the eponymous founder of the company.
And the visit doesn’t end with breakfast. In order to drive away the sluggishness induced by truffle eggs and other treats, we recommend a long digestive walk through the new Home & Accessory Floor. Audrey Hepburn would love it!
The Tiffany Blue Box Café is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sundays from 12 to 6 pm; click here for more information.
